Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") apply to your use of VersaMemo (the "App"), provided by TakeKApp. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the applicable store terms.
1. The service
The App is a general-purpose memo and organization tool. Features may include local note storage, attachments, timers, reminders, calculations, OCR, translation, speech processing, widgets, backups, and export. Feature availability can vary by operating system, device capability, language, model availability, and App version.
2. Your content and responsibilities
You retain your rights in content you create or import. You are responsible for that content, for having the right to use it, and for complying with applicable law. You must not use the App to violate another person's rights, interfere with the App or related services, bypass purchase controls, or distribute malicious or unlawful material.
3. Storage, backup, and deletion
The App is local-first. Device loss, damage, operating-system cleanup, uninstalling the App, or a failed transfer can result in data loss. You are responsible for creating and checking suitable external backups. Exported backups and files are ordinary files under your control.
App lock and per-memo lock restrict access within VersaMemo but do not encrypt the App database, attachments, backups, exports, or widget content.
4. VersaMemo Pro
Core features are available without a VersaMemo subscription. Some advanced features can be tried within the limits shown in the App and can be unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase of VersaMemo Pro.
- Prices and taxes are shown by the App Store or Google Play and may vary by country or region.
- Payment, refunds, and purchase records are handled by the store under its rules.
- Restoration requires the same store account and a supported store environment.
- Purchases do not automatically transfer between Apple and Google stores.
- We may refine the feature set while preserving access in accordance with applicable law and store requirements.
5. Third-party services
Optional features may rely on operating-system services, Google ML Kit, Google Fonts, the destination of a link preview, Apple, Google Play, or an app you select for sharing or support. Their terms and availability also apply. We do not control third-party outages, policy changes, model availability, or content.
6. Accuracy and suitable use
OCR, translation, transcription, calculations, reminders, notifications, and generated previews can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Verify important results independently. The App is not intended as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, emergency, or safety-critical systems.
7. Intellectual property
The App, its design, software, branding, and included materials are owned by TakeKApp or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App as distributed through an authorized store.
8. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App for maintenance, security, legal, store-policy, compatibility, or product reasons. Where required, we will provide notice or remedies under applicable law.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, TakeKApp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Disputes will be handled by a court with lawful jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the App or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
